This morning the roads were so icy, that I got stuck half way up a hill. Fortunately one of the locals with a big truck was there to tow me to the top of the hill. The little lanes don't get gritted round here any more.
I only managed this one big pot today - I lost another four. Sometimes it just doesn't happen. I'll try again tomorrow - I still feel quite exhausted from the migraine, so a good night's sleep will help no doubt.
Here's a little film from today
Goodnight all

You're right. Sometimes it just doesn't happen. I've learned to recognize those days, then make a decision about fighting through it or finding something else that needs to be done. Pretty nice-looking jug, though, Doug. Hope the migraine has gone away.
ahhh rest your head!! I was surprised for a minute to see a topless jug, forgot you made them a s a two piece :)) gorgeous looking jug it be..
I believe chicken soup is in order. You do amazing work even when sick. Feel better.
Ugh. Migraines are the worst...then they go away and leave that fog behind. Get a good nights rest!
I call the off days wood chopping days. Fortunately (or unfortunately?) as a potter there is ALWAYS something else to be done.
Hang in there. I think all the advice about resting is good. When you are feeling badly, your body is just telling you to give it a rest. When the jugs are collapsing they are telling you to go to bed... There will be many future "great pottery" days to come.
