Tales of the goings on at Hollyford Pottery, near the tiny village of Stockleigh English in Devon, England
I'd sure rather be there than anywhere in any of the pictures flashing across the news this week in the "other" England.
Such a peaceful scene. The news we are seeing over here about England is so sad. What a shame people can't just take deep breaths and peacefully coexist! The pottery at the car park was so great but what an odd thing!
Is this around your studio? What a wonderful place to be! xm
Where in England Doug?I haven't seen fields cut by hand since I was very young, and that's a long time ago.
That's such a glorious sight, I could just imagine a ghostly Constable getting restless, grabbing his paints, and having to pop back for a while to stand out there in the sun and breeze and paint those clouds and patches of light and shadow. Love the Dutch pots and the great idea of displaying such things at car parks!
Ah!! a scythe has been here! Such a beautiful sight!
It's a field along the lane from my workshop, it's straw for thatching I think
