A freiend is going to put some through their stoneware firing for me - I'm guessing it'll turn to a green glaze. You've got to make something out of that clay for your firing. I've bisc fired a few pieces and it looks to be a good terracotta, but we'll see what happens when it's in the glaze firing - it'll probably all leak!doug Fitchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12413690733976558551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6709786391671578715.post-83432523714077468162008-10-06T23:56:00.000+01:002008-10-06T23:56:00.000+01:00I have another question, how do you know what temp...I have another question, how do you know what temp to fire it? I have a bunch of clay in my backyard where we are digging the foundation for my kiln. I thought it would be really cool to make some pots with it for my first firing.Tracey Broomehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14560971496423789576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6709786391671578715.post-72038789717166946632008-10-06T23:47:00.000+01:002008-10-06T23:47:00.000+01:00Hello Deborah. That's my plan - whether it'll happen or not remains to be seen!doug Fitchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12413690733976558551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6709786391671578715.post-81379068922152130202008-10-06T23:38:00.000+01:002008-10-06T23:38:00.000+01:00If you just grab clay from the woods, how do you k...If you just grab clay from the woods, how do you know your slips and/or glazes will fit it? I know a glaze I use crazes on a lot of bodies for instance.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09547166972371240909noreply@blogger.com
