Today's glazing went well - still lots to do, but it's well underway and I can see and end to it. I worked late and broke the back of it.
Tomorrow I have to make an early start to take Luke for a college interview in Bath. I'm expecting it to take all day, so I doubt I'll get back to the workshop until the evening. I need to crack on and get the glazing done, ready to pack the kiln with Marky Mark on Wednesday.
Time for bed
Good night all

Good to hear you are getting that much closer to firing. I have lot of glazing to do as well but my kiln is far smaller. It's fussy stuff and like you, I would rather be up to my elbows in clay on the wheel.I wish your son good luck in his interview.
I still love your videos. I hope you don't mind, what software do you use to edit the films?
Also, how do you keep stuff off your glazing table. Mine is full of stuff. I can only get one board of ware on it currently, and there's year's worth of stuff piled up on it.
Cheers chaps
It's so simple to make these videos - I use a small camera called a Flip - you can get them from Amazon relatively cheaply. The have their own software which has a 'Magic Movie' button. I pretty much load the footage of the day in, then hit the button and it splices it together into a short film. I have no editing skills whatsoever - I wish I did!
Michael, I have tried to build enough shelves so that there's a space for a kiln load of bisc, which means in theory, that by the time there is a kiln load of pots mad, everything has migrated to those shelves. It doesn't always work, but that's my plan :-)
