Off to Cornwall

Heading off to Cornwall in a mo to see my mate Frank. Running late, but here are a couple of pics uploaded quickly before I go.

These are Jessica's pots that she made earlier in the week, she was very productive

And here's Marky Mark painting the new shed last night. We were painting until the sun went down. None of the timberwork is treated, so I was keen to get some primer on before the summer of rain comes along. It won't be quite so white when it's finished. Once I've sorted the floor out, I'll be able to finish the walls off - I'm doing everything back to front here.

Right, got to go, I'm late - happy weekends all.

When I was in the library yesterday I saw a book called "Cornwall Today". It had some lovely pics of workman and others as well as shots of buildings and the shore of course. I looked at the copyright and it was 1967. I'm sure much has changed since then.

I stopped by your blog via Cariad in Crete and enjoyed my visit! Your pottery is lovely. I have some Devon mottoware from when I was a child (my mom is from England) and my late husband and I did a wonderful 18 day holiday in Devon and Cornwall in 2000, celebrating in Helston at the Furry Dance (which my cattery is named after and I name all my cats after places in Cornwall (since that is where the Cornish Rex cat had its beginnings).

Evening all. 'Been down Cornwall'
I would think it hasn't changed a great deal Ron, although tourism has probably taken over from agriculture and fishing as the main economy. It's true about the flares. Don't you reckon my little shed looks like an ice cream kiosk H? Ang, it's going to be for putting my finished work in. When I first built the roof, it was going to be for clay prep, then it was a saggar store, but now it's my shop. Alongside it I'm going to build an extension to my kiln shed, then after that, rebuild my woodshed to include clay prep. I want to get this bit more or less finished first to minimise the chaos.

Thanks for dropping by Teri, please come back again and check out some of the other links to some very fine pottery pages. Our cat's gone missing tonight, I think she may be on the look out for a good looking Tom - I hope so anyway, it's not like hr to miss out on her tea, so we're a bit concerned.
